@707oogeegee707 not really, when I was in AIT(medical training in the army) I had three of my wisdome teeth taken out( one was compacted) I was awake the whole time in the operation(got shots of course) but afterwards I just took the pain pills the dentist gave me and I never felt any pain. 4 pills a day though

Im very curious for ur explanation. Also, since u are DDS: Is there a disease that causes the enamel of the teeth to break down faster than 'normal'? Having nothing to do with poor dental hygiene, coffee/soda consumption? Because its been a big issue in my family. Ive had full dentures since age 27! PLS reply?!

the extraction didn't hurt at all. but when they he started drilling ugh! yeah that was very uncomfortable...i was on local anesthetic so he constantly had to inject the deeper he went...but bearable :)

We HAVE Dental insurance and the costs are still ridiculous. I'm not looking forward to going next month. I know I have some cavities and I had two fillings fall out, one up front and one back molar. I don't know what I'm going to do if I need crowns/root canal. I'd definitely have the back molar pulled. Ugh... I also still have 1 baby tooth because my left eye tooth never came down... it's still in my head. lol My parents couldn't afford that one when I was a kid and now I can't @ 36.

Cut just a tiny portion of the military spending, and you get free dental care for the whole country, cut half the spending the military, and you got healthcare for everybody.. the US spends 300 billion dollars every year on the military, the 2nd country who spends the most on military is Japan.. and they spend about 40 billion.. there's a 260 billion dollar gap between the two countries who spend the most on their military.. I think one of them spends way too much.

Although the success rate of dental implant is very high, there are about 10% of failure in all dental implantation. The cause is usually related to the bone quality of the implant site. Once the implant failed, it can be easily removed, wait for 6 weeks and re-implant again. It is easier to remove a failed implant than a natural tooth.

I had all my teeth replaced by an unscrupulous dental pratice , my teeth were not that bad, two loose ones. I was told I wouldnt have my teeth much longer and I should have them all taken out. I was scared so I did this I have lost all but two of the implants two left and dentures. I am only 48 I have depression anxiety and I am broke it cost 20,000. Think twice before doing this always only do the bare essetial work. Dont listen to greedy dentists and get a second opinion

FYI, I didn't have a bad tooth that needed to be pulled and immediately replaced - I had been missing that tooth for years b/c another dentist pulled the same one on the other side to make room and thought they needed to be symmetrical or something. So I was used to not having anything there. I did have a retainer with a ceramic thing on it to fill when I wore that. You would prob have to spend extra to get a filler during your wait time :(

I just had this done today where I live. A few things were different with my procedure. He did not use that "guiding" thing - he just gauged himself where to start drilling (I only had one missing) and then checked halfway through to see where he was (since my space is so narrow) and then continued to the end. Also, I WAS still told I had to wait 3 months or so before finishing the process. Maybe just being extra-cautious, but the crowns have been placed immediately on all these vids. Weird.

@EdProduct I checked your profile and at age 18, you should see results in just over one week. If you have heavy stains due to coffee or smoking, it could take longer. You could also benefit by trying to keep them in longer than one hour. Cut back on foods and drinks that may stain. Good Luck!

@ArinLudington Assuming you do not overload your bleach tray and a small amount gets out, you should be ok. You may want to wait about 5 min. before laying down to make sure you cleared the excess out. If you are constantly having excess, then you need to cut back on the amount of gel you are putting in. In my office the patient applies the bleach while I watch and guide them, I then refer them to this video as a back-up refresher. If you are worried and don't want to go back to your office to demo in front of them, then I suggest you start with a small amount first. Almost all bleaching systems nowadays are considered safe. Apply just a little and work your way up to applying more. Once you get the hang of it, applying will go fast and easy. Be brave! Take a deep breath and go for it.

The tray you see in the video and overall the best fitting trays should come from your dental office. The doctor, hygienist, or dental assistant (under direct supervision of the dentist) can take an impression that duplicates your teeth and surrounding gum area. The tray can be fabricated from that. The ones you buy in the store and mold yourself may not uniformly fit or be ill-fitting enough to not distribute the bleach properly. You can call various offices to ask a general price.

Thank you for this video, it really helped me getting the bleach into the tray, before it was always touching my gums and causing irritation. I do have a question however, I spoke to my dentist after doing it 3 times and she told me to stop using the bleach until my next 6 month check up even though my teeth haven't whitened properly and the colour is uneven. Is there a medical reason why she would say this or do you think it's safe to do more treatments until I get the desired tooth colour?

Nice to hear from you and good luck with your bleaching effort. It is indeed wise to use the bleach before your bonding. As to whether they will fit, alot depends on the amount of space being filled. If your tray fills the current gaps, then, no, it won't fit once the gaps are filled in with bonding. Be sure to bring your trays to the appointment and ask the dentist to place the trays (BOTH) once the bonding is finished. Let the dentist place them in for you. Good luck!

Update. I'm picking my trays up on Wednesday upper and lower trays. Although I'm not sure what the percentage of the bleach will be he hasn't told me yet. I have a question though. I'm having my teeth whitened first via trays then after that Bonding on the front 4 teeth to close gaps. My question is will i be able to use the upper trays in the future after the bonding has been done. I know it will change the shape of my teeth and i would assume the tray will not fit so accurate anymore? Thanks

This has been the most informative whitening video on youtube. I like that the trays are not trimmed. It looks like it would provide a much better fit. My dentist had my tray trimmed and I HATE it!!

Thank you for a very informative video. It helped me a great deal. My periodondist fitted my tray and gave me 6% gel. I was pleased with the fit of the tray, but she did not really show me how to apply the bleach. So thank you for this. :)
